About Matanava
Who we are
Matanava is a Bali-based collective of designers, builders, managers and agents, founded on a simple idea — that the spaces we live in should be made with heart, and hold their value long after the build is done.
We work on homes, villas and small commercial projects across the island — from Canggu and Kuta to the quieter hills of Tabanan. Our approach is unhurried and hands-on: we visit sites, we talk with neighbours, we draw by hand before we draw in software, and we only commit to work we genuinely want to build.
Everything we do is rooted in a single mission — to deliver exceptional, original outcomes for our clients while growing stronger and more valuable, every day.
History & Culture
01
We identify land with strong long-term character — access, orientation, zoning, and the cultural fabric of the neighbourhood — before a single line is drawn.
02
From concept and schematic design to contractor selection and handover, each decision is weighed against craftsmanship, durability, and the client’s brief.
03
We stay close long after the keys are handed over — managing, refining, and growing the asset with the owner so the work keeps earning its value.

Expertise & Precision
Architects, project managers, landscape specialists, hospitality operators and agents — different disciplines, but one way of working. We hold every decision, from structural detailing to front-door finishes, to an international standard.
It's why our best clients come back — often with their second project, and sometimes with friends who've seen the work firsthand.

Disciplines
Design-led building with a contractor’s eye for craft — bamboo, timber, stone, concrete — tuned to the way people actually live in Bali.
Day-to-day stewardship of homes and villas so owners see the upside without the headaches — staffing, maintenance, guest operations.
Matching the right property to the right market — with honest positioning, considered photography, and an owner-first marketing approach.
